3. How to raise a concern
Please include your contact details, the relevant account or invoice reference if any, the affected domain/URL, a short description, supporting evidence and the outcome you seek. We may request proportionate additional information to verify authority or understand the issue. We provide an acknowledgement and a unique complaint reference or ticket number so you can track progress. Do not send passwords, transfer codes or full card details.
4. Response times
For complaints falling under the Indian intermediary grievance rules, we acknowledge receipt within 24 hours and resolve the complaint within seven days. Covered requests to remove specified unlawful information are handled within the shorter statutory period, including 36 hours where applicable. For qualifying complaints about intimate imagery, nudity, sexual depictions or electronic impersonation of an individual, we take the reasonable and practicable removal or disabling measures required by law within two hours.
For complaints covered by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, we acknowledge receipt within 48 hours and redress them within one month, subject to any shorter applicable legal deadline. We address privacy complaints within the applicable period, including one month where the current Indian sensitive-personal-information rules require it. These categories can overlap; we apply the applicable shorter requirement. We explain the outcome or action taken and available review routes.
5. Escalation and external remedies
If you disagree with our response, you may reply with your complaint reference for review by the Grievance Officer. This further internal review is optional and does not extend any statutory appeal deadline. Where the intermediary rules permit it, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee against a decision or when a complaint remains unresolved beyond the applicable statutory period. The statutory procedure includes a 30-day appeal period following receipt of a decision. Information is available at https://gac.gov.in.
Consumers may also use the National Consumer Helpline at https://consumerhelpline.gov.in or approach a competent consumer commission or court. Privacy complaints may be taken to the competent authority when the relevant law and complaint mechanism apply. These remedies are not conditional on purchasing another plan, accepting a credit or waiving legal rights.
For a domain purchase made on another website, contact the relevant seller or provider about that transaction. We will still examine a report about a misleading or unlawful listing hosted through DomainsLounge.
